The ways that are being taught is the warm market that is in contact with family and friends. You contact them and do everything you can to expose them to your business by phone or by inviting them to meetings at your home or hotel. This traditional way of building your business works for a very small percentage of people in network marketing. The reason is that most people don’t know enough people in their warm market to talk to and build a great business. Usually the people who can make this work are people who have a lot of credibility with their contacts and have a great warm market. Frankly, based solely on their credibility, they can recruit people to your business just by asking. Heavy hitters who have been in network marketing for a while usually have a great warm market as well, making it easy for them to build whatever business they decide to build.
The other 97% of network marketers use online business opportunities to build their business. They were told to go to some leading MLM company and buy generic business leads every month. From there, they are directed to contact these potential customers by phone and show them your business opportunity. This is done by sending these generic leads to a website or a live conference call. However, most network marketers who use this way to build their business are failing big time. By building your business this way using generic leads online, you end up dealing with a lot of rejection for calling these leads. The other factor is the sheer amount of time that must be spent on the phone to sort through enough leads to recruit just 1 or 2. Also, many network marketers are spending way too much money buying these so called white hot generic mlm leads. They then end up going out of business due to bankruptcy.
Online business leads are not the right type of leads that network marketers should buy to build their business. We as top MLM revenue earners do not buy generic leads. We generate our own! However, you need to know what type of prospects are specific enough for an MLM business. Once you know this then your head in the game. There also needs to be a system that will generate these targeted mlm leads and put money in your pocket fast. Then take this money and invest it back into your own MLM lead generation efforts.
