Download Warhammer Online Age of Reckoning – Digital Download Now Available
Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning is now available to pre-order via digital download. Now you can buy Warhammer Online without ever leaving the comfort of your computer chair, just point, click and download.
Warhammer Online will go into open beta on September 7 and the game will be available on September 18. You can pre-order the game and get access to the open beta and Headstart program that will allow players to start playing the live version of the game before the release date. The pre-order also comes with claimable in-game items, including a portable camp to decrease downtime between fights and a jewelry item with stat bonuses and added damage proc that can only be used in the PvE environment. These items will be fine at first, but I don’t think they’ll make much of a difference in gameplay.
I downloaded the game the first day it was available and it took me about 24 hours to complete the process (not including update patches). This was during a very busy time and it took quite a while to get through to start the download process. That is why I urge you to pre-order your copy and complete the download as soon as possible. I’m sure the internet will be abuzz with downloads on launch day, but you know, early bird gets to play first!
Warhammer Online requires 15 gigs of hard drive space, a 2.5 GHz P4 processor or equivalent, a 128 MB Pixel Shader 2.0 compatible video card, and 1 GB of RAM for Windows XP or 2 GB of RAM for Windows View.
These specs aren’t particularly hard to come by these days and most gamers have this type of machine or better. The game also has a video option setting for “Most Frames Per Second” for those intense RvR battles, so my RvR experience was virtually lag-free.
Warhammer Online is a great MMORPG and it can be yours with just a few clicks. The war is coming! Be prepared.
