Top 5 Kaskade songs you won’t want to miss

Gaming

Ryan Raddon (aka Kaskade), in addition to being the # 1 DJ in America (according to a 2011 DJ Times poll), the world’s # 30 DJ (DJMag Top 100 DJs poll, also in 2011), is, in his own right, also a leading producer on the charts.

With 9 artist album releases and countless top remixes, there are a myriad of songs to choose from to determine a top 5 list. However, I have 5 that I think represent Kaskade’s best work. I’ve included a couple of remixes here because, well, they’re fantastic and you don’t want to miss them.

Here’s the countdown:

5. Call your girlfriend (Robyn – Kaskade Dub)

This gem of a remix didn’t make it to the commercial release of Robyn’s album, but this track is definitely “hands in the air”, and the fallout is fantastic. This can be found on the Kaskade Soundcloud page.

Favorite moment: the drop. The first is at 1:27.

Four. Be quiet (Mysterious love)

This song was released as the first single from Mysterious love, which was released in 2006. It topped the Billboard Dance Club Play chart at # 4. American singer Sunsun delivers excellent vocal work. Be Still also features excellent guitar work throughout, a rarity in electronic dance music (EDM).

Favorite moment: 1:56. The beginning of the build-up in the last chorus of the chorus. The backing guitar complements Sunsun’s beautiful voice here. Also at 3:04, the guitar solo. Rockin ‘on a House tune. Could not be better!

3. Space for happiness (Ice fire)

I had never heard of Skylar Gray before buying this album. But the combination of its passionate vocal performance, meaningful lyrics, and punchy rhythm makes for a great song.

Favorite moment: 3:16. The break / bridge.

2. Love is not enough (Above & Beyond – Kaskade Remix)

Kaskade’s remix of this track from Above & Beyond Group therapy The album is, to say the least, fantastic. The original mix was already top-notch, and Kaskade has added its bright and unique touch and made it one of my favorites.

Favorite moment: 3:40 preparing for the last chorus. And above all, the piano. I love piano on EDM, and this is the perfect touch for this remix.

1. Do not stop dancing (Dynasty)

This album, like most of Kaskade’s artist releases, is packed with fantastic music. But the clue that catches my attention is this. Kaskade worked with EDX on this track and Haley provides some excellent vocal work.

Favorite moment: syncopated pike everywhere. Just love them. They provide the momentum through this track that makes it so irresistible.
