Seven hot women’s costumes for Halloween 2009

This year, as you prepare for Halloween, do you know what costumes will be red hot for women? I’ve put together a list of what I think will be this year’s hottest and most popular costumes for women at Halloween 2009.

7. First Year Costumes – Why is it in? – Roman society and Jack Black will be all the rage this summer, I predict. Searches for toga suits are already on the rise, due to the publicity for the film.

What’s available: Roman goddess dresses with white gowns and gladiator sandals (think goddess Athena costume). Toga costumes are back and not just for sorority costumes.

6. X-Men Superhero Costumes: Why It’s Hot: X-Men prequel Wolverine will reignite the popularity of older X-Men costumes like Storm and Phoenix, but a new woman has also emerged from X-Men, Kayla Silverfox, who has been cured. powers like Logan and plays a central theme in her story.

What’s available: The Storm and Phoenix outfits are the white and red lycra outfits with Storm wearing a cape and white hair. Kayla Silverfox’s costume may simply be a lace-up front Indian-style peasant shirt in black with black pants.

4. Inglourious Basterds Costumes – Why It’s Hot – Bringing back the glamor and action of the 1940’s will make this movie’s release a hit. Quentin and Brad couldn’t make a bad movie together. Could?

What is available – Glamor, glamor glamor. The women wore suits with short, flowing skirts and blazers with a cinched waist. Large feathered hats were in fashion. Glamorous long evening dresses with short feather jackets and long silver cigarette holders.

3. GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra Costumes: Why It’s Hot: The GI Joe release this summer is quite different from the comic book version and the doll version. Cobra suits are tight leather jumpsuits.

What’s Available: No costumes have been released for this, what I predict it will be, blockbuster movie. Look out for motorcycle skin jumpsuits and their vinyl copies for Halloween

2. Public Enemies Costumes – Why It’s Hot – Johnny Depp is about to make the 1930s great again with the release of Public Enemies in the summer of 2009.
