Main purpose of the work:

The Waiter, under the guidance of the Captain and in accordance with the Company’s policies and procedures, will perform their duties based on the following grounds:

– Maintains the highest level of professional ethics.

– Emphasizes and projects a high image of the hotel

– Cares about the operational objectives of the hotel

– Operates with maximum transparency, thus projecting the truth about general observations

key function:

He is in charge of and is responsible for the control of several tables in a service station, maximizing the prompt efficiency of the food and beverage service and ensuring guest satisfaction according to the Organization’s standards.

Key Results Area: Guest Satisfaction

Major Duty Responsibilities

– Ensures the achievement of daily planning through the list of activities received.

– Follow up the elements and tasks trained, on a daily basis.

– Guarantees the service of the assigned tables.

– Taking food and beverage orders according to the Hotel standard.

– Deliver food from the kitchen and drinks from the vending bars.

– Help Busboy/girl to clear tables if necessary.

– Follow the work sequences during preparation time and service time.

– You have to know in detail the food and drinks on the menu.

– Handles the guest’s request in a courteous manner by repeating the guest’s request to ensure that the guest’s message was understood correctly.

– Immediately inform Superior of any misunderstanding, problem or accident with the guest or the staff.

– Communicates constructively with guests to assess their satisfaction. If you’re not satisfied, follow up with immediate action.

– Receive careful training and focus on various elements and tasks taught on a day-to-day basis.

Major Duty Responsibilities

– Service entry and exit signs as soon as you arrive or leave the exit.

– Attend the informative meetings prior to meals, listen carefully to the instructions given by the Superiors on the achievements of today’s service.

– Be well, orderly, tidy, disciplined and honest at all times.

– Immediately report to your supervisor any misunderstanding, problem or accident with a guest or staff.

Key Result Area: Financial Performance

Major Duty Responsibilities

– Follow up the opening and closing procedures.

– Inform the Superior about the damages immediately after noticing them.

– Present checks and ensure smooth cooperation with tellers.

– Is aware of the activities/events that operate within the hotel in order to promote and maximize sales.

– Suggests ways to reduce costs without affecting the quality and standard of the hotel.

– Ensures energy and water savings.

Key Result Area: Environmental Awareness

Major Duty Responsibilities

– Inform superior if Housekeeping cleaning plans were followed.

– Operates all equipment in accordance with operating guidelines.

– Has full knowledge of hotel security and emergency procedures.

– Complies with legal and statutory requirements for fire, health and safety, hygiene, licensing and employment.

– Is aware of all local customs.

Fundamental factors of attitude:

– May be called on from time to time to perform other functions not included in this job description.

– The ultimate goal of the Waiter’s performance is the achievement of total customer satisfaction.

– A fundamental responsibility of the Waitress is to establish and maintain at all times a good relationship with superiors, colleagues and subordinates.
