Marina Club City – In the Marina

Marina City Club is a series of 15 high-rise buildings containing luxury apartments and condominiums for rent or purchase. It is located in Marina del Ray, just a mile from the beach, while also overlooking its own marina in one direction, and the other direction providing a great view of the city, and was the first high-rise condo built in the city. The towers are curved, giving residents the sense of panoramic views, and those panoramic views are easily highlighted from the penthouse residences, with 20-foot ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows. There are around 600 private residences.

People who live in or near Marina City Club say it reminds them more of life at a resort than life at home, although they feel at home living there. Amenities include: 24-hour parking, along with a car wash and auto detailing; security; the 16,000-square-foot gym that also features a spa, sauna, and massages, in addition to offering aerobics, cardio, and weight rooms, free classes to learn yoga and Pilates, and personal trainers; three pools; six tennis courts; a beauty salon; High speed internet for all residents; racquetball and handball courts; a convenience store; a recreation room; a dry cleaner; Housekeeping; a yacht club; and a solarium.

It is also known for two large event spaces that residents can use for free, and others can pay for, which are always reserved for special events. Located on the third floor, The Nautilus Room, the larger of the two, has glass walls and looks out over the Marina. It offers a black marble bar, special designer lighting and offers enough space for a large event such as wedding receptions. The smallest room, called the Galaxy Room, has a band platform, a spacious parquet dance floor, and a raised, carpeted dining area. It also overlooks the marina.

Along with the large function rooms, there are several rooms for hosting smaller events, including one called the Topside Room, which is where one of the restaurants, called City Cafe, used to be located. The other restaurant in the building is called, appropriately, Marina View Bar & Restaurant. Residents can order food delivery or go to any of the restaurants and feel like they are having a night on the town.

The condos themselves are all spectacular. There are 1- to 3-bedroom condominium combinations, including studio apartments. Each of them has floor-to-ceiling windows, along with two bathrooms and a balcony. They are not furnished, so you can add your own style to your residence. Square footage ranges from 421 square feet for the smallest studio to 3,400 for the largest 3-bedroom, primarily penthouse condos. Rent can run as high as $7,000 per month, while purchase prices can range from $400,000 to $600,000. There are some more affordable rents for studios and one-bedroom apartments.

And when you’re ready to walk out of the building, you’ll be literally a few minutes walk from many restaurants and many shops, the beach, a dog park (small pets allowed), obviously the marina and many social events.

You can get a little bit of everything at Marina Club City. There are college students, families, athletes, and celebrities. Everyone can come together as equals in its many open spaces, and with all that it offers, it is a fabulous place to live as if you were on vacation for the rest of your life.
