Kabul is the capital of Afghanistan and has been since the late 18th century. While the city has been constantly plagued by problems such as damage caused by wars and conflicts, it has seen imposing buildings and modern shopping malls built in this often war-torn country. The only thing to remember about these taxis is that they do not have meters and you may need to set the price for your ride before getting in. These taxis are yellow in color and you can even find some going around like buses, picking up passengers along the way and dropping them off.

Some of the must-see places in the city include the Old British Fort, the Kabul Museum, the Palace which is just opposite this museum, TV Tower Hill and Ariana Graveyard. If you enjoy shopping for souvenirs and hunting for bargains, you might want to visit Da Afghanistan Bazaar where you can get many items at very low prices. Carpets, turbans, vests and even gold is very easy to find in this bazaar and haggling is expected so you can try to bring the prices down once you find something you like.
