Is the Flip Video Mino series really as easy to use as it claims to be?

Technology

Electronics mogul Digital Media launched a new product in the Flip Video series… If the Flip Video camera could get any better, the Flip Video Mino Flip Video series is for anyone who wants to shoot video on the go.

Minicam with a gigantic impact!

Weighing in at one pound, the Flip Video Mino series fits right in your pocket. The release of the Mino Series brought a slimmer version of the otherwise bulky Ultra Series. Wow your friends and wow your family when you pull out your slim camera to capture your priceless moments.

Flip Video Mino Series comes in two versatile colors: black and white. The Mino Series also comes with 2GB of Flash memory that lets you record up to 60 minutes of continuous video or split video. Worried your battery might run out in the middle of a priceless shot? Fear not, as the Mino series comes equipped with an internal lithium-ion battery, which recharges whenever the camera is connected to your computer.

Have you always had the dream of starring on TV? Now you can as Flip Video also allows you to connect your camera to Instant Stardom TV. With the camera’s full VGA video output, you’ll think you’re using a more expensive camcorder. It also comes equipped with a fold-out USB connector for instant uploading to popular video sites like YouTube and AOL Video.

Instant posts on my blog…

Personally, I bought the Flip Video Ultra Series, which is slightly bulkier than the Mino Series Ultra Series and still fits in my pocket, but I would prefer the slim size of the Mino Series as it would be a bit roomier. I love it because it has allowed me to record spontaneous interviews or thoughts on current events that I post directly on my blog.

If you trade with video in any shape or form, the Flip Video Camera does wonders for instant creation. I have used it many times to create viral videos posted on YouTube. With software built into the camera, you save time having to install and use a separate program.

Is it really the perfect video camera?

While the Flip camcorder has many great features and benefits, I think one of the downsides is the wide panorama. If you’re shooting professional video for a commercial or TV show, this camera may not be for you. Flip Video cameras also do not allow streaming video capabilities. So if you’re into UStream, these cameras are definitely not for you.

Value Added Cameratology

So you may be wondering if the Flip Camera Mino series is worth its weight in gold. For video blogging, social media, and shooting videos on the go, Flip Video cameras are definitely worth the investment.

In short, the release of Pure Digital’s Flip Video Mino series has more strength than the Ultra series. Frank Sousa of Traffic Geyser had one at a seminar I attended recently, and I wished I had the Mino series. You can even mount it on a tripod. If you’re shooting professional-quality footage, go with a high-end camcorder. For fun, candid videos on the go, you’ll be glad you chose the Flip Video Mino series!
