This training system really intrigued me to want to learn more about it, especially after hearing so many other trainers give positive testimonials about it. I will discuss some of the positives and negatives of this training method within this article, as well as what training with Escalating Density is like.

1. What are the positives and negatives of increasing density training?

One great thing that I really liked about this type of training is that it can be used effectively to replace cardio exercises. I found that my heart rate is always very high during the 15 minute workout, which has really helped me burn a lot of calories. This form of training can eliminate the need for cardio exercises.

However, it’s worth noting that using too much EDT can get pretty boring. The thing is, you’ll need to do 2 exercises in 15 minutes and try to do as many reps as possible.

2. How is training with the increasing density training system?

As mentioned above, EDT really gets your heart rate up and you’ll feel like you’re doing your cardio. Each PR zone of the training system has a duration of 15 minutes and you must choose 2 antagonistic exercises for each PR zone. Then alternate performing the 2 exercises, with the goal of achieving as many reps as you can within the 15-minute window. You can choose your own times to rest within 15 minutes, as long as you eventually beat your previous number of reps.

3. My experience with EDT

I find that my muscles are usually sore after working out with the Escalating Density Training system. This is mainly due to the high intensity of the exercises, and probably the increased anaerobic activity within my body as I try to hit my rep max within the time limit.
