How to be heroically happy
“Heroic happiness is the ability to be 100% happy all the time.”
If you could go to the stores right now and buy heroic happiness, would you? If you did, how much would you expect to pay? I bet you will. I also bet you would also expect to pay a large sum for it.
Surely such heroic happiness is not possible?
IT’S OKAY.
“Great Happiness is being almost 100% happy, almost all the time.”
Does that sound more realistic? Would you buy that too? Would you pay a lot for it? I bet you will.
Imagine coming back from the stores and showing off your shiny new happiness to your family and friends. Wouldn’t they envy you?
Imagine taking your new found happiness for a test drive.
Did you phone that horrible customer again? No matter. With your newfound happiness, you can handle it and also be happy while handling it.
Do you get stuck in traffic? Easy. You can take that easy.
Has your partner had a bad day and yells at you? No matter, I can smile as he sympathetically lets her relax.
With your Great Happiness you know that whatever happens in life you will handle it happily. You have bought paradise.
Sounds great doesn’t it?
How much would you pay for this paradise, if you knew that for the rest of your life you could happily deal with everything life throws your way, good or bad? Imagine knowing that every day for the rest of your life you could happily handle anything and everything? Can you imagine never again letting fear stop you from doing what you have to do? What a wonderful world you will have.
Bad news: The bad news is that you can’t go to the stores and buy Heroic or Great Happiness. You can’t even buy it online. But you can get it.

To obtain Heroic or Great Happiness. It is both very easy and also very difficult, it is instantaneous and it is a lifetime away.
Easy. You simply decide that you want this happiness. Your decision is easy, you alone decide. The stronger your decision, the better. Best of all is an unwavering commitment to have this happiness no matter what.
Hard. After your decision, you must stick to it no matter what. They will not let themselves be swayed from their commitment to have this happiness. It is one of the most important values in your life. This requires effort, practice and perseverance.
Moment. Your decision to have this happiness is instantaneous, and it will remain instantaneous every time you make this decision to be happy, every day, hour minute.
Lifetime. Achieving heroic happiness requires a lifetime of practice and work. The more you practice it, the greater your happiness for longer. Eventually you will go from being occasionally happy to having Great Happiness, and then you will have that precious goal of Heroic Happiness.
Isn’t that worth having?
