What movie to see?

When deciding which movie to choose, you need to consider what genre you want to watch. There is a wide variety of film genres, from action to romantic comedies, so if you are in a maudlin mood, then you would watch a romantic movie or a romantic comedy. Or if you are in the mood to shoot guns and crash cars, then you would watch an action or action-adventure movie. If you’re not 100% sure what genre you want to watch, you can always look at your other options and come back to this section.

The classics or the latest?

The next step is to decide if you want to watch an older ‘classic’ movie or a newer movie. Personally, I think this step mostly depends on your age and what kind of movie buff you are. I, for example, am not that interested in old movies, as I am not that interested (unless the movie is a ‘must have’ like Scarface or Godfarther), the movies that he wanted when he was younger.

Cast and crew?

When you’ve chosen a movie or a genre, I always think it’s important to find out the cast and crew. It’s an important factor in finding a movie because if you like a certain actor/actress, you can find their discography and essentially open yourself up to more movies. For example, I enjoy Mark Wahlberg’s performance, so I can find out what movies he’s been in and watch them.

A cheaper way to enjoy movies.

In today’s economy, many people are looking for affordable entertainment options for friendly gatherings.

Here’s an idea that doesn’t cost much and can be a lot of fun.

Try having a classic movie night at your house, here are some ideas for movies and themes.

Undisputed Classics – Many moviegoers will have some kind of classic movie stashed somewhere in their house. This is a great way to start a classic movie night.

Comedy Nights: Always the most popular genre for hangouts, I personally don’t think you can beat watching sitcoms with your friends.

Actor-Specific Nights – Everyone you invite to your movie night will have favorite actors, so there’s a good chance they’ll have a few movies starring the same actor. This is a great way to discover talented actors you may not know about.

Late ’80s: Movies like Ferris Buellers Day Off, Back to the Future, and Raiders of the Lost Arc are always good choices for a night out with friends.

These are just a few suggestions that have worked, but create your own themes and inspire movies in others! Sharing movies at each other’s homes is a great way to socialize and save a little money.
