Costume Ideas for an ABC Party – Where Everything But Clothes – Goes
If you’re looking to get everyone to your fancy dress party dressed up, here’s a surefire way to make it happen. Host an ABC party. ABC stands for anything but clothes. See, the problem with many costume parties these days is that the theme is often very restrictive and many people simply choose not to attend because they don’t have a costume in the designated theme. It can be a bit more difficult to get a good turnout at your party with such limited options for partygoers. The solution is an ABC Party.
Imagine being invited to a costume party of anything but clothes! The costume ideas are endless, if you go into your garage you can find duct tape, tool kits, boogie boards, cardboard, paint and the list goes on. Personally, I think a costume made entirely of duct tape would win best costume in the garage category.
For those who have a costume box, rate it! – anything on it will be great! You might have a prom queen sash, chicken mask, hat, and a pair of heeled boots. All of this would be totally and completely acceptable and expected at an ABC Party. The beauty of an ABC party is that it leaves a lot to the imagination of the person dressing up. You can be just about anything and it gives the party goer plenty of room for creativity.
Another idea would be to use a liquid latex cover up, then add a touch of glow-in-the-dark body paint, don a costume wig, a pair of costume sunglasses, and a fancy hat. Who really knows what you are, but then again, who cares? After all, it’s an ABC party.
