The lake has many parks and launch sites, so there’s a lot to explore in the area. Trophy Club Park on the upper lake and Twin Coves Park and Campground on the lower lake are both great places to start exploring.

On the southern shores of Lavon Lake, this campground is a popular choice for those living in the Dallas, TX area or visitors traveling through the Northern Texas region. The campground offers everything from RV and tent campsites to equestrian campgrounds, a group shelter and a swimming beach.

The campground is open year-round and has a variety of facilities for your convenience. There are a few different types of sites, so it’s best to make reservations in advance.

A reservoir that’s a favorite for fishing near Dallas, Benbrook Lake is the ideal location for catching blue and channel catfish. The main lake humps and ridges are prime locations for this species, but there’s also a lot of potential to catch flathead catfish, too. The lake is also stocked with a few different species of fish, so anglers can expect to catch some tasty fish during their stay!
