Consuming more vegetables and fruits in a day is known to be a great way to prevent many forms of ailments and diseases, as well as help keep body weight down. But some people find it difficult to eat enough fruits and vegetables in a day. The solution is to make great fruit and vegetable juices that are easy to consume, prepare, and keep throughout the day. These are just a few of the quick and easy juices in my book that you can quickly make in less than 5 minutes each.

Roselle Orange Cooler

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups orange juice
1/2 cup roselle cordial (available at most supermarkets)

method

For the orange juice in an ice cube tray and freeze until solid (at least two hours).
· Meanwhile, chill the hibiscus juice in the refrigerator.
for the roselle juice in a clear pitcher and then add orange ice cubes.
· You may need to add a little water if it is too sweet.

Apple, orange, carrot and tomato juice

Ingredients

half apple
1 small carrot
Peeled half orange
1 small tomato
juice of 1 lemon
mint leaves

method

mix all the ingredients in the juicer
serve cold

Pine Orange Yogurt Smoothie

Ingredients

12 ounces of orange juice
cut half pineapple
1 1/4 cups low-fat yogurt

method

Combine all ingredients in blender
serve immediately

Tofu, Strawberry and Banana Smoothie

Ingredients

3/4 cup silken tofu
1 cup of fresh strawberries
1 fresh banana, cut into chunks
1/2 cup of soy milk
2 tablespoons peanut butter (optional, for more flavor and protein)

method

Place all the ingredients in the blender
blend until mixture is smooth
serve cold
