When giving an audio interview, how much is written?

When I give my audio interviews, how much is actually written? Well, when I’m giving an audio interview myself, that means someone else is asking the questions and I’m giving the audio interview. Most likely, their questions are written down because they have all of them in front of them, ready to ask me. But we didn’t write a script together.

My answers are not written, but I have bullets in front of me of what I am going to say. I don’t write it all down, but I do give myself some guidelines and ideas of what to say to stay on topic. While giving a live teleseminar, I don’t want to lose track of my thoughts and it is quite difficult to focus for three hours on this. It’s very easy to do, but I don’t want to spoil it, especially when it’s live. There is no way to fix it if it is active. The vignettes help me keep my thoughts together and make sure I am not wrong. They keep me on time and focus on what I’m talking about, without looking like I wrote an interview script.

So, I prepared myself and I have vignettes, key points that I can see. I am not reading a script that is completely written in front of me. I’m just looking at bullet points and ideas so I can stay up to date without straying too far from the topic. So in my own audio interviews, very little is written.
