Tip 1 – How to play with a scratched or damaged disc!

As many gamers have found, cracked or scratched discs can be a real headache. Whether you hit your console while it’s running, or just from normal wear and tear, these scratches can cause your game to stop working! Now, if you are like me, you will really appreciate this tip that I am about to share with you.

Once your disc has been scratched it may seem worthless, but that’s not true! So, here is my advice to fix your scratched discs!

So that’s how it’s done. When you have your scratched disc, you will need to find a place where you can borrow another copy of the same game. Whether it’s from a friend, or even from Blockbuster or similar companies (Redbox, Gamefly, etc.) Once you’ve gotten the bonus copy, you’ll save it to your hard drive. This can be done via the Xbox Dashboard and pressing Save Game to Hard Drive or something of the sort. After doing this, you are done with the spare drive.

After this, you are almost done! It’s that simple, now all you have to do to use your scratched is put it on your Xbox. Your broken record will now work!

But how can you ask?

This works because when you tried to use your broken drive for the first time, a lot of the data would be unreachable due to the damage. But, now that you have it saved on your hard drive, all the data that was once inaccessible can now be recovered from the hard drive.

Tip 2 – How to play music from your iPod on your Xbox!

Although this sounds simple enough, Apple and Microsoft aren’t exactly friends. So Microsoft makes it as unobtrusive as possible so you can use its bigger competitor product on your console.

To accomplish this, you’ll first need to head over to the Xbox Live Marketplace. After this, go to a download called “Optional iPod Support”. This download is free and very useful! After downloading this, you will be able to listen to your favorite music while playing games. To navigate to the iPod compatible media section, simply scroll to “Media” on your Xbox Dashboard and an icon for the new app you downloaded will appear. That’s it!
