Five attributes of grace!

Arts Entertainments

Grace is God’s love and gift to humanity. This is what allows us to stand before our creator without any feeling of condemnation. It is ability and empowerment that give us the power to live a higher life. It also activates in us what is needed to achieve extraordinary results.

Grace is a way of life! It grows. We are separately admonished in Scripture to grow in grace. Grace characterizes our identity, for Paul declares in 1 Corinthians 1:10 “I am who I am by the grace of God.”

This way of life is seen in our way of living and in our strength to live. Grace is found in our ability because, truly, the Christian life is a journey made possible by grace.

Grace is an acronym that stands for the following words:

  1. Greatness: Greatness is one of the characteristics we receive from God. God is great, merciful and very worthy of praise. He does great and mighty things; the level of his greatness is unfathomable. Greatness is the you that honors your value, worth and esteem. It is the personality in you that is focused, unbiased, and ready to help others reach new heights as well. Greatness is an attribute that takes away the limitation, puts you on that path that reaches impossibilities. The greatness is Moses standing before the Israelites and sharing the Red Sea with his strong faith and conviction in the Great God of the Universe.
  2. Riches: This is a large amount of valuable substance. It has to do with big numbers. Riches come from grace and grace comes from God. God is so rich in mercy towards us that he sent his only Son to die and rescue us from satan’s destruction. The grace of God gave us riches that cannot be quantified. Yes, we know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ who, being rich for us, became poor so that we might be enriched in him. Grace defines God’s generosity towards us and also gives us his riches. God’s riches are manifested when he led the Israelites through the desert, supplying all their needs according to his riches in glory.
  3. Security: Security is the state of being sure of something. It is the strong feeling of confidence about your belief, strength or personality. The Grace of God gives us security in the Word of God, gives us the promises of God and the provisions of God. The personality of God and his Words inspire us with security because we know that He cannot lie and that there is no shadow of change regarding his faithfulness. When you are deeply sure of God’s protection, provision, and love, you will walk on springs. David was so sure of God’s backing when he faced Goliath that, even without a sword, he promised to behead Goliath and he did! David was sure that the grace of God was behind him, he knew that he was not facing the giant alone! He had some security and it was worth it!
  4. Competence: This indicates sufficiency of knowledge, skill, ability, expertise, and aptitude. This is another attribute of Grace for us. We have the skill required for each task because we have grace. We are head and not tail. With grace, nothing confuses us; we always know what to do. We take the right step at the right time. We can also handle any matter efficiently and effectively.
  5. Excellence: This is the last but not the least of the attributes of grace. Excellence is that which exceeds ordinary standards. Excellence is the grace given to us to do ordinary things in an unusual way and to obtain magnificent results instead of ordinary results. Excellence distinguishes the class. Excellence distinguishes results. Excellence is what saw Daniel and separated him from the crowd.
