Black Walnut – Wart Killer

Arts Entertainments

My son had been bugging me about this “thing” on my big toe for a while now, and to tell you the truth, I didn’t think it was much, so yeah, I did put him off and really didn’t take the time. to examine the matter completely. At the time I examined the “thing” it was a huge wart on the side of my 5 year old’s big toe! Huge and disgusting!

My first thought was, “I hope I have some black walnut tincture in the closet.” Crazy you say? I was raised by herbalists, what else do you expect me to think about? I didn’t have any on hand, but I knew where to get it, so I grabbed a jar (for only $ 12.99) and started the treatment. I dropped the dye on a cotton ball until it was almost saturated, placed it on the wart, and then wrapped it in tight, thin strips of sports tape. Band-Aids didn’t work around that little toe, but this tape job certainly did! We applied it every night and the bandage lasted all night and the next day. When it was time to sleep, we redid the bandage, soaking a new cotton ball with Black Walnut and reapplying the tape. We got out of compliance and started using a pre-folded wrap over the cotton ball and then secured it with the sports tape. Both methods worked fabulously. Even with all the wrapping, a little dye stained their sheets and stain, but twin sheets aren’t expensive so that didn’t bother me at all.

If you have gone to the doctor to have a wart frozen, it will wither and die. This did the opposite. It grew and grew and grew, it looked like a mushroom! My husband was wondering how this would play out, and my son was a little nervous that it would get so big, but we kept applying Black Walnut every night and watching this madness grow on his toe. Soon enough, the top of the mushroom came loose and fell off. There was still a big wart with a lot of seeds, so we kept applying Black Walnut. Then one day, after about 5 weeks of being diligent, the main part of the wart dried up and fell off. It left a huge crater on my son’s toe (which he thought was SO GOOD). I applied Black Walnut again that night and by morning the crater was gone, the skin was completely leveled. There were only a few seeds left on the site, so we continued the procedure and the wart site got smaller and smaller with fewer and fewer seeds until its skin was completely closed off and it became completely whole. There is no evidence of seeds or that he has ever had a wart!

It was amazing to see the toe heal from the inside out. We gave the body the tools it needed to rid itself of this viral infection and it did. No scars, no recurring warts. Your body did exactly what it does best: heal itself. I just needed the right tools. And in this case those tools were a bottle of black walnut tincture, cotton balls, and duct tape. No doctor visits, no insurance billing, just simple home remedies.

If I run into this again, I would apply the tincture in the morning and at night to speed things up a bit, but it’s nice to know that it works with just one good application a day! I love taking care of my family in this way!
