10 reasons why going to church is important for family life

“I don’t want to go to church!” cries a little boy. “I don’t feel like going to church,” says one parent. You must have heard or said one of these sentences many times or at least twice. This requires a reflection on the benefits of going to church for family life.

An understanding of these benefits will change our perspective and attitude toward making the trip to church, no matter the distance or how we feel at the time.

The benefits:

1. obedience to God

God commanded us in Hebrews 10:25 not to stop meeting together. This is for our own good so that we are not dragged down by the things of the world. So as a family we obey God by going to church.

When families go to church together, they interact with other families and learn from each other. What was a challenge in one family’s life will be easily resolved by learning how someone else solved it. The Bible says in Proverbs 27:17: “As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend.” (NLT)

Going to church is crucial and plays an important role in shaping our family life. The teachings shape our individual character that we manifest in the family. My family is built on love, honesty, integrity, openness, fidelity, discipline, and trust because, individually, we have these molded into us through the teachings we receive from the church.

Four. Service

As a car needs to go in for service, so do families need go to church to be cared for. We learn more about God and how to live a victorious Christian life as a family. Many questions in our minds are answered and solutions to problems are given as we listen to the preaching of the man of God. Even, we are also ministered through songs, testimonies, prayers, etc.

In addition, we are given opportunities to serve God in the church as a family through service units such as the choir, usher team, etc. All of this helps to cement and maintain the joy we have in our family life.

5. networks

Many Christians wonder how they are going to socialize. Going to church gives the platform to do that. You meet and meet new people who love God like you. Some of these people may have some things in common with your family. These can create a relationship that will be beneficial to both families, financially or otherwise.

6. problem avoidance

We’ve stayed out of trouble because stuff to be in church when there was a church service. The people who would have gotten us in trouble didn’t find us available for outings that would have ruined our family life.

7. choice of company

Going to church allows you to choose the right company to keep. Children make friends with people who love God and will never lead them astray. Kids who go to church and participate wholeheartedly are more likely to overcome peer pressure.

8. choice of spouse

When you go to church, you have the opportunity to meet and marry a God-fearing person. The foundation of the marriage will be solid because both of you are on the same spiritual platform that is needed for a successful family life.

9. Peace

Church-going families enjoy peace at home. Jesus, the prince of peace with whom we fellowship in church, follows us home to continue fellowship there. The word of God in us individually produces peace in us that is ultimately reflected in our relationship with others.

10 channel for salvation

The most important thing is that going to church gives people the opportunity to change and give their lives to Jesus Christ. God wants people to come to church no matter what they have done. The word of God that we hear constantly produces the faith to be saved. And if any family member has yet to give their life to Jesus, continuing to go to church will eventually help the person(s) to be saved.

Many families are experiencing many challenges that are pulling them apart. Going to church consistently and participating fully will solve that problem. The wisdom to solve family problems is always delivered in the church. Is there anything that can prevent one from going to church now?
